I know my posting has been a bit slack recently, I have been very busy with work which means I've had barely any time to cook anything. Of course I still have to eat and when you're short on time super quick recipes are very attractive.Recipes don't come much quicker than these yogurt scones from Chocolate and Zucchini, ten minutes to prepare, fifteen to cook and they're done, ready to eat straight from the oven. I ate my scones outside in the sunshine served with clotted cream and jam, they made a delicious treat before I hopped on my bike and went back to work.

I'm still looking for a perfect scone recipe so this is another one for the list
Ooh, I love clotted cream. It is so difficult to find here! Those scones look lovely. Perfect with tea!
Hang in there with work! look forward to your normal blogging soon.
I've never made scones but this recipe is calling my name. Nicely done Sam.
There really is nothing better than a fresh scone! Those look absolutely perfect.
These scones look lovely.
I always make my scones with yogurt instead of buttermilk and they are always light and delicious.
Those look delicious! I have to agree with Amanda - I wish one could get decent clotted cream outside of the UK! It's so yummy on scones!
Nothing beats cream teas on the lawn!
Maybe you need a job where when you're busy, it means you cook lots more. I made some canape sized scones on Saturday. Savoury ones with our local cheese similar to brie. A revelation. Might try them with smoked trout too.
I've tried making scones twice and failed! Yours look yummy esp with clotted cream and jam!
Wow, I stumbled across your blog and I love it! I will certainly add it to my favorites!
Fairytaste.
that looks like a proper cream tea!
Mmmm you can't beat a freshly baked scone. Never tried making them with yoghurt before, does this act in a similar way to buttermilk?
Katie: The yogurt works in the same way as buttermilk as they are both acidic. If you can't find butermilk -I couldn't- then yogurt is an ideal substitute.
You're still better at posting than me! Your scones look wonderful - nice food styling too!
I love a good scone. These look delish!
